Today bore no exception to the concept that we all learn something new every day. It seems that whilst i've been sipping honey and lemon in a desperate effort to rid myself of this pesky (and stubborn) winter cold, and searching the mysterious unknowns of my wardrobe for my favourite chunky knits as the cold weather digs its heels in, an unlikely trend has swept the world of fashion.
Just five years back, trainers were looked upon as the most un-glamorous form of footwear, only to be worn during P.E lessons in schools by mortified teens (and even then, they were massively uncool). Now, it seems that even the most style savvy of us are throwing in our chic heels in exchange for a pair of comfy kicks.
ELLE recently initiated a fashion-fuelled mission to uncover the mystery behind this sudden love for sneakers, and it soon became clear why this unlikely style icon has taken hold of fabulous ladies everywhere.
