The world through my eyes via Instagram

The world through my eyes, via Instagram!
During a very productive shopping trip {naughty, I know} I came across this gorgeous set of underwear.
I think this could possibly be the most adorable lingerie I have ever owned. Do you like it?
Bra: £6.00, Primark.
Knickers: £4.00, Primark.
Bargain, right?
Those who know me well will know that I absolutely cannot resist a fruity tea!
It has gotten to the point where my employees are also aware of this fact, and thus, I often come into work to find an adorable little labelled tea waiting for me on my desk..how sweet?
Fruit tea lovers, visit The Baltic Triangle’s Unit 51. They have the best selection in the whole wide world.
Ever since our engagement, Michael and I have been eagerly scoping out the most delightful bits and pieces for our bottom drawer {which has quickly overtaken my entire bedroom, much to my mum’s horror}.
I am so blessed to have a Grandma who is, quite honestly, a genius when combined with her sewing machine.
So, with this in mind, we decided to take a somewhat obligatory trip to Cath Kidston. Known for her generous range of beautiful fabrics, we knew that we could rely on Cath Kidston to provide some gorgeous fabrics, with which we would make a selection of scatter cushions, table cloths and napkins for our future home.
However, we were faced with quite the dilemma; ALL of the fabrics are simply beautiful. I am particularly fond of the “Garden Birds Cotton Duck” cloth. Do you have a favourite? We need help!
Michael’s mum is a truly marvellous baker, and she often calls on me to lend a hand in the kitchen, which I absolutely love. Until I met Gill, I was a disaster in the kitchen. With thanks to her kindness, persistence and faith in me, I am getting better by the day. One particular Sunday, whilst we were busily baking away in the kitchen, she asked me if I’d like to go and pick some blueberries from the garden. They looked far too pretty to not take a picture!! What is your favourite thing to bake?
There is no other explanation for this picture than my love for the Georgian Town Houses of Liverpool. They are just so pretty.
I often find myself dreamily imagining Michael and I living in one; with the windows overcome with Cacti and other pretty house plants.
Upon returning to the UK from our delightful Greek adventure, Michael and I were feeling truly ghastly. I can always rely on my best friend Alison to give my spirits a much-needed boost.
If you have not already experienced the wonder of a Hot Chocolate a-la Costa, perfectly paired with freshly whipped cream and marshmallows, you are yet to live!
We are fast approaching the time of year when the beautiful flowers of the summer disappear for a season or two.
For that reason, I couldn’t resist taking a couple of photographs of the prettiest flowers in my garden.
Although I adore Autumn/Winter, I sure do miss the beautiful flowers of summer.
It has taken me two years to grow my bob out.
Now, with my hair flowing down my back, I cannot help but miss my choppy do.
What do you guys think? Should I opt for the chop?
We have finally approached the time of the year when winter coats must be hunted down and recovered from the mysterious depths of the wardrobe.
Although I love the feeling of wrapping up, feeling cold makes me miserable.
This picture certainly captures the essence of my horror upon discovering that my new office is absolutely freezing at this time of the year.
Despite my imminent-winter-induced blues, there’s nothing quite like a cup of tea, Hershey’s treat, a great magazine {Open Magazine, of course} and some wonderful music to lift ones spirits!
Some more of the summer’s most beautiful flowers. So much YELLOW!
Thanks to my fiance’s very generous Dad, Michael and I ventured to the Royal Court Theatre to watch “Noises Off” last Monday evening.
There’s nothing quite like a theatre trip at this time of the year, is there?
And just two days later, we were off to the Lantern Theatre to see “United We Stand”, which is a truly remarkable performance. Certainly worth a visit!
My morning drive to work generally consists of pit-stops to photograph the prettiest town houses. I just love the red doors!
If you had a town house, what colour would you paint your door? I think i’d go for a shade of pistachio!
This picture was taken during our first Greek adventure last year, but I couldn’t resist sharing it with my lovely Instagram followers.
I’d give anything to sit on that balcony listening to the idyllic sounds of the ocean right now.
Last one, I promise.
This weekend, my lovely fiance whisked me away to Anglesey for a couple of days’ relaxation. {I am so blessed}.
Whilst I remember visiting with my dad in my younger years, I couldn’t really remember the place..but boy, is it beautiful.
During a lovely walk to the next bay along from Treardurr Bay, I spotted some bushes abundant with the juciest looking Blackberries..and I simply could not resist selecting the biggest and eating them.
We each took a handful to the beach with us, and they were so delicious..even if they did stain our hands!
A trip to the coast is simply not complete without a cream tea..and this was probably the most satisfying we’d ever had.
Served in the most beautiful fine china, it was heavenly..and the scone was possibly the biggest we’d ever seen!
Michael discovered what he called a “pencil rock” perfect for drawing in the sand..
..And despite us not being a lovey-dovey-kiss-in-public couple, we love each other to the stars and back, and we’re not afraid to show it.

Wish upon a wedding..the most divine venues in Liverpool

Wish upon a wedding..the most divine venues in Liverpool

As a tiny little girl I was truly dedicated to those beloved, classic Disney films. Mesmerised by the magic of Cinderella’s adorable woodland companions, making her magical marriage to the dashing Prince Charming possible, and Sleeping Beauty’s awakening from a slumber of 100 years by true love’s kiss, little girls are destined to grow up believing that, one day, they too will live out their very own fairy tale; their very own happily ever after.
From the beautiful, elegant dress, the veil that mysteriously masks the blushing bride-to-be from her own handsome prince, the sensational arrival and above all, the fantasy venue that makes a girls’ dreams come true, a wedding day is the most exciting day in a woman’s life.
Liverpool, a city overflowing with truly luxurious venues, is the city that dreams are made of for those young women desperately searching for the perfect venue to make their wedding the most magical day in their lives.
Whilst many women dream of getting married in their local church or chapel, there are still those who seek more outrageous, more adventurous, and more extravagant venues. Look no further than Open for the most magnificent, unrivalled, fantasy wedding venues across the city.

The Bombed Out Church.
St Luke’s Church, now christened The Bombed Out Church, still remains to be one of the finest examples of florid Gothic architecture in England. Admired by thousands of tourists and residents daily, our historical treasure is still home to the very first metal bell frame in the world. Despite the heart-rending fact that the beautiful church is no longer home to blushing brides and chiming bells ringing proudly from the tower, and is a bombed out building with an absence of windows and a roof, it is still growing rich in history each and every day…and to the young women of Liverpool and beyond, is among the most desirable, luxurious fantasy wedding venues.

30 James Street, the Home of the Titanic.
There is no greater love story than the tale of Jack and Rose, and the home of the Titanic is among the most divine wedding venues in Liverpool, encapsulating the magic of the world’s favourite romance. With the White Star Grand Hall spanning an impressive 4,000 square feet, the venue is also one of the largest in Liverpool, too. Harbouring spectacular views of the world-famous Three Graces and the Strand, you and your loved one can indulge in the idyllic scenery from the comfort of your Victorian balcony. Lovebirds can surrender to the titanically grand 15 foot bed – delicately hand-carved from oak – as well as the luxurious whirlpool bath, turret seating area and wet room in the one of the most serene honeymoon suites in Liverpool.

Anfield/Goodison Park.
At the beating heart of Liverpool’s fascinating heritage, the objects of many a football lover’s undying passion, these two conflicting football grounds are a substantial part of what our city is all about. For all those dedicated, die-hard, spirited football fanatics out there who live for their team, what venue could be more magical, more thrilling than the home of your team to host the best day of your life? Whether red or blue, joining hands with your loved one in either sacred ground would, without question, be a wedding day to remember.

Problem Skin: is there really a cure for me? Please, LouLouBelle…cast your magic in my direction!

Problem Skin: is there really a cure for me? Please, LouLouBelle…cast your magic in my direction!

For as far back into my early teens as I can bear to remember, I have suffered with spots. Whilst they’ve never been quite severe enough to qualify as acne, they have always been my biggest insecurity. I have had many a friend suffer with relentless, unforgiving acne, and it has broken my heart to see them so hung up on their imperfections. The most upsetting element for me was that these girls were just so beautiful, and despite their poor skin I had always been envious of their gorgeous, feminine features. I found it so upsetting to see my closest friends so down in the dumps because of their appearance, knowing deep down that there was nothing I could do to help them.
Over the years, my friends and I have spent many a long day trawling the internet on a fierce mission to seek out that one remedy that would rid us of our insecurities forever. Luckily for my friends, they found their holy grails pretty early on in the search. For me, the challenge has been far greater. I have tried so many different products from Obagi to Duac. And, might I add, I have spent an awful lot of money in the process. Frustratingly, many of these products were exceptional in ridding me of my burden. However, they left my skin patchy, scorched, dry and unbearably painful. And, whilst I decided to stop using these products, I cannot recommend them enough. Although they scorched my skin, they did what they promised to do. I have always had particularly sensitive skin, and for that very reason I should have known better than to opt for acid-based skincare products. If, like me, you suffer from sensitive skin, I cannot emphasise the importance of selecting a skincare product specially formulated for sensitive skin enough. The pain is just not worth it. In the end, I decided (rather sensibly) that my spots were somehow preferable to the pain of scorched skin.
I have also tried the old tricks of sleeping with a face mask made entirely of Sud0crem, placing pea-sized blobs of toothpaste on the affected areas and even a squeeze of lemon juice on each spot. Nothing has ever worked for me.
As somebody who has always battled with poor skin, I can personally stand testament to the embarrassment and sadness it can bring. For teenagers, young women and in some cases even older women, poor skin is a very real problem that can often lead to other, more worrying conditions such as depression. For women of all ages, feeling beautiful and confident in your skin is just so important. Too many times in life we are made to feel un-pretty, and that we somehow fall short of meeting a particular, unspoken criteria. Unfortunately for us women, we seem to be completely incapable of ignoring those beautifully photoshopped faces on the cover of the most glamorous magazines. Instead, we buy ourselves a copy, sit at home and weep into the pages whilst mentally dissecting our flaws. There is nothing worse than feeling insecure about your appearance. I have always felt, deep down, that I would be far more confident in myself (and far prettier) if my skin was clear, healthy and glowing. This, of course, is precisely where the wonderful Magda and LouLouBelle skincare can cast their magic.
Last week, whilst dreamily scrolling through my Twitted feed, drooling a little over heavenly images of GBBO inspired baking, I received a rather lovely direct message from Magda; otherwise known as the founder of LouLouBelle skincare. Magda had been a regular visitor to my website, and, after reading my woeful problem-skin-related blogs, decided that she’d like to play her part in my journey to perfect skin. She kindly asked me to describe my skin type, to which I responded with quite the novel about having oily yet sensitive skin prone to irritation and soreness. She told me that she’d like to send me some gifts, if I would kindly review her products in return. Of course, I was absolutely overwhelmed by her kindness and generosity, and immediately agreed without a second thought to write a review for her lovely business (of course, my review would be an honest reflection of my experience with the products).
Yesterday, I was absolutely delighted to see a lovely little package awaiting my return from work in my bedroom. Of course, they were my gifts from Magda. My parcel, complete with geranium and tea tree cleanser, lavender and cypress toner and calendula moisturiser, was beautifully decorated in the prettiest packaging…and I was instantly greeted by a heavenly scent.
Each of the three products have been specially formulated for oily/problem skin using only the ingredients that Magda believes are necessary to have the most positive effects on the skin. Each LouLouBelle product is made using specially selected essential oils, plant essences and floral waters. More importantly (and of course, impressively) is that LouLouBelle skincare operate under strict animal friendly guidelines, which is wonderful. Each and every one of their delightfully-scented products are tested on friends, family or Magda herself. They refuse to test their products on animals, and they also avoid bleaching agents, parabens, sulphates or artificial colourings or fragrances.
My first use of these products was this morning. My skin immediately feels refreshed, hydrated and as smooth as silk. Of course, there have been no changes to the appearance of my skin as of yet. However given the passion, dedication and essential knowledge that goes into making each and every one of these pure and nutritious products, I have every faith that I have finally discovered a holy grail of my very own.
My fingers are tightly crossed. Keep your eyes peeled for updates on my blog.
Do you have a favourite skincare product?

Ghost sex: the chilling, paranormal phenomenon

Crowdwish; the modern fairy godmothers

Crowdwish; the modern fairy godmothers

I absolutely LOVE stumbling across heart-warming stories on the internet, not only because it turns me to mush and makes me feel generally thrilled to see the passion and drive in people, but because it does my heart good to know that there are still good, honest people in this world who want to make their best efforts to make it an even more unique and wonderful place. After a little online-browsing, I came across an organisation that could warm the hearts of even the coldest people…giving them a couple of good old giggles along the merry way.
We’re all guilty of making selfish, ambitious wishes from time to time, from longing to delve into a bath filled with chocolate, or sunbathe on a deserted beach, cocktail in hand. But somewhere in the busy heart of London, a group of modern-age genies are working their magic to make the wishes of the world come true.
Crowdwish is an online, community platform on which users are granted ten wishes, which they can use towards making the most common wishes posted on the site become a reality. The minds behind the platform select the most popular wish each day – the wish that received the most hits from users – and do everything in their power to action it on behalf of those who requested it.
Bill Griffin, the founder of Crowdwish told me that he was inspired to create a meaningful and charitable platform after he witnessed groups of people coming together online to create outcomes for themselves which they couldn’t possibly achieve on their own, from Kickstarter to the use of social media during the Arab Spring.
♥ I know this sounds completely ridiculous, but I wanted to create a site where people could come and ask for literally anything and get a meaningful and freshly generated response.
Starting with the initial brief of creating a charitable, insightful platform, Mr Griffin said it took some time to figure out how it would work, and a little longer to design, and then around six months to build with everything falling perfectly into place. Whilst some of the wish requests Crowdwish receives are outrageous, such as ‘I wish I could afford to fix my bad boob job’ the organisation has been able to grant some truly life-changing and inspiring wishes.
♥ We did one once when a woman made a wish on behalf of a friend whose husband had died. She had been his carer for years, but had been totally floored financially by medical bills once he died.
Crowdwish set up an appeal in the USA for her, and raised an impressive $1,000 the next day, which paid off the most pressing of her bills.
♥ That was a pretty cool wish to grant.
However, when Crowdwish deal with the wonderful, they must brace themselves for the weird, as the two really do come hand in hand, particularly when ambitious people take to the internet. They recently granted the ‘I wish I was Batman’ request for a man called Craig Stewart, a self-confessed, proud geek and script-perfect comic book enthusiast. Mr Stewart, who had recently opened an online store called ‘Nerdgazzum’, was sad to learn that he couldn’t actually be Batman because he was in fact a fictional character. Whilst they were unable to transform him into a comic book character, Crowdwish decided to do something exceptionally cool for the mega-fan.
They sent Craig a genuine Batmask, along with ‘The New 52 Villains Omnibus’ comic book collection –featuring Batman’s arch nemesis The Joker – and after some intense hard work, they managed to get their hands on a final shooting script from The Dark Knight Rises which was signed personally by Tom Hardy. Mr Griffin told me that the ultimate dream for Crowdwish is to develop the site more and more, with the ultimate endeavour to grant any and every wish, no matter what it may be, providing it adheres to the rules of the site:
1) Don’t be lame. No one cares that you wish you could fly. You can’t and this site can’t help you. Sorry.
2) Don’t be greedy. ‘I wish I had a free Rolex’ isn’t going to get traction.
3) Don’t be crude. We don’t need to hear about your Mila Kunis fantasies.
4) Don’t be vague. Try and be specific and imaginative at the same time.
5) Don’t be (too) selfish. The more a wish is shared, the more likely it is to come true.
6) Don’t be a dick – any form of behaviour that breaks the law, or advocates doing so, won’t be tolerated.
♥That’s the goal, which I realise, is stupidly ambitious, but achievable though. The aim is to join together the world’s hopes and ambitions, collate and quantify them, then use their critical mass to help bring those dreams closer to reality. We don’t really consider ourselves to be, like, pioneering evangelists trying to inspire other people, we’re not born again Christians or anything, we just wanted to build something cool which made the world 0.00000001% better, that’s all.

The most adorable tiny tattoo inspiration..

The most adorable tiny tattoo inspiration..

Pulling myself away from the computer screen (to which I have been glued for most of the day, as I am for the best part of most days) to make a very well deserved cup of tea, I can’t help but to wonder exactly how many hours of my life have been dissipated whilst I dreamily search for tattoo inspiration online.
Despite the hours I spend browsing beautiful tattoo designs, I have no intention of being inked. Ever. In reality, the concept of having something permanently etched into my skin terrifies me. Throw in my acute fear of needles for good measure, and the entire notion of tattooing becomes a pretty void topic.
Despite my intentions to remain pure and ink free, I can’t seem to help myself. When trawling through my Tumblr feed, admiring people’s breathtaking artwork and losing myself in philosophical poetry, I always fall victim to the search bar; and of course, I once again tap in the words cute tattoo ideas. And there, right in front of my eyes, are thousands of the most adorable tattoos I have ever seen.
Once again, I start to imagine my body covered with the sweetest tattoos I can think to design. Of course, that would never happen.
Whilst I never plan to have a tattoo, a girl can dream. Just like I will never marry Wentworth Miller. I will also never cease to Google image him and drool. Oh, how cruel life is.
So, since I will never cover my body in them, I decided that I would share my very favourite cute tattoo placement ideas with my blog! Here are 25 of my favourite, most adorable teeny tiny tattoos!
